imstillatwork
I'm gonna be the jerk in this thread No cat = illegal regardless of state or inspection rules, you know that, right? If you bought the car like that, I *think* in some states it is the sellers problem! It is illegal to sell a car with no cats in some areas. If you JUST bought the car recently maybe you can use this to your advantage somehow? OH: purchased in May, I got that now.
SBT
Are you living in VA while your car is registered in WV. If it's registered in WV, why are you getting it smogged in VA? As someone mentioned, WV has less-restrictive smog requirements. And if you're military, you can register your car in your home state and still register it on-base/drive it with your home-state plates. Less expensive alternative in the long-run if it works for you. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
illace
I live in hampton roads and when I got my car inspected all they checked were all the lights and e-brake. I didnt even know they did emissions tests around here.
vr4Legacy
^ easier yes.. less expensive, I doubt it. I live in WV and I beleive we have the highest insurance rates in the country. Mine tripled when I moved from NC to WV... I couldn't beleive it. But I also pull in to get my car inspected and they have me flash my lights hit my blinkers and throw a sticker on.
