zimbonies
Just giving a heads-up to anyone who has activated their 'free' 3 month XM radio trial - I bought a 2011 Legacy Limited last June. I activated the free XM trial assuming that it would expire in October with no plans of renewing (I have 3 portable Sirius radios). I continuously received emails / invoices stating that I needed to renew or else my subscription would expire - no biggie. Well, I received another email this morning stating "Please note that your subscription has already renewed but payment was not received." I called this morning and successfully cancelled - but apparently I still owe them $46 or else my account will be going to collections! What a crock! If anyone is in the same situation, make sure that you *cancel* beforehand and not assume that when it expires, it expires... Zim
B-BGTLimited
That seems to be the norm for most things... and typically somewhere you'll find something about auto-renew... Sucks but you have to stay on top of those things.
zimbonies
I figured that if I initially didn't give them a CC number, they wouldn't be able to auto-renew and simply cancel the service. Silly me for thinking rationally!
vr4Legacy
So I assume when you read the agreement it said there was no auto renew after the 3 month trial subscription? Or was that assumed? You know what happens when you assume.....
zimbonies
yes, I'm one of those id10t's who don't read all the fine print, and it's my own fault, I agree. It makes me angry though...
