Oil Change

Anyone have an oil change back-up when they can't DIY or take it to a dealer?

Looking for a place open in the evenings (ie- til 9ish would be ideal), could be a jiffy lube for all I care as long as it comes with a recommendation. Preferably south bay/Campbell area.

I've taken my wagon to the Jiffy Lube on Saratoga ave just south of 280. Nice guys - I like the top up policy - if you lose any oil before the 3K miles is up they'll top you up for free. Comes in handy as I tend to eat close to a quart by 3K miles omnomnom

Perfect, thx!

We're heading on a road trip on Sunday and my schedule this week has no time for anything.

Anything specific you have them do?

I have to admit, I haven't even paid attention to what weight goes in as I've had free changes from the dealer since I bought it...

Why are people on the forum still suggesting that someone take their beloved car to JIFFY LUBE? This is on THIS FORUM...

Find a local subaru specialist. Start up a relationship with an oil change. I'd way rather pay an extra $10 for an oil chance and check out a mechanic to see if I like them for future maintenance/repair than trust jiffy lube monkeys.

i hear you but an oil change is not rocket science and some times you don't have the luxury of going 30 mins out of the way. if you have the time Garage1 gets great reviews. ill be there tomorrow with my exploded CV boot.

i have the jiffy dudes put 5w-30 full synthetic. they do a good job and its super fast. get your tire pressure done too at the same time (free) - good before the road trip.

I'll repeat my previous statement... will work for pizza and beer!

I just picked up half a dozen filters last week, if you bring over some oil over I can help you out.

You guys around Thursday night? I'll supply the beer and oil :D
