Darkebane
Ok, we recently got a week+ of steady heavy rains, at the end of it my 97LGT starting misfiring on all 4 cylinder's and would stall itself out. I replaced the coil pack, plug wires, and plugs thinking it might be old gear, but it didn't seem to help. Anyone know of any ways to diagnose what else it could be without spending copious amounts of money on the car?
Osei
what codes are you getting? Since you have dealt with the fire, time to check on fuel and air. Make sure all of your electrical connectors to your injectors are dry. If necessary unclip, blow compressed air and replace. Make sure your car is grounded and that there is no loose terminal. Make sure you do not have any sort of vacuum leak Unplug MAF and clean it with MAF cleaner. Try these and report. O.
carnumber19
Unplug the connectors and spray a small amount of WD-40 on the terminals, then reclip them. It will handle any water in the connections. Nerdy fact. The WD actually stands for water displacing, and the 40 designates their 40th formula. quader94
if you keep getting misfire codes it could be your headgaskets. I kept getting a consistent misfire and then my headgaskets went
