Shopow
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has experience with this. I have an HID kit installed and have noticed lately that the driver side HID bulb sometimes does not turn on when I start the car. Could it be that the bulb is just dying or is it the ballast? The reason I ask is because usually when it doesn't turn on, I just switch the ignition off again and then back to aux and it turns on. Just wondering if maybe it's just the connection or a sign of a dying ballast. Thanks in advance.
OutbackXT05
I know on my buddies car it turned out to be the ballast. We changed out the bulbs and still had the same problem.
underground000
Swap the bulb or ballast to the other side, I had a dim bulb and it didnt always lit after a while it stop lighting. It turned out to be the bulb. If you swap the ballast and the problem is now on the passenger side, Its the ballast, If your still having problems with the driver side its the bulb 5eat downshift rev match:) Powder coated wheels: completed:)
AkumaMax
My buddies ITR had that same issue. Asked him about it this year and he said it was the bulb. Should buy 2 new bulbs if you are going that route. Bulbs wear over time so colors will not match right. Same goes for ballasts.
