HitOrMiss
Anyone know of some awesome driving roads around New England. Preferably western mass, southern vermont. Route 5 and around Shutesbury and Quabbin is where I've done most leisurely driving. Any others I should know about?
jsaltis
Rt 116 from S. Deerfield to Ashfield. Brand new pavement, lots of tight turns and straightaways, usually very little traffic. Only a couple of towns to slow you down.
Captain Ned
VT Route 9 West out of Brattleboro. Nice steep & twisty climb to the ridge running down the center of VT.

ehsnils
Most interesting roads can be if you select shortest route or most fuel-efficient route on the GPS - like on the Garmin I have. Of course - you may end up on a gravel road too that way.
sk_leb
VT Route 9 West out of Brattleboro. Nice steep & twisty climb to the ridge running down the center of VT. This. Also - Route 112 coming up from Greenfield into VT. Will lead you into Jacksonville and then over to Wilmington where you can meet up with Route 9. Lots of hills and windy roads to give the car a nice ride. I would stay low in MA (if you're coming from Greenfield) the Colrain, MA cops are usually out. Once you get to VT the speed limit increases to 50 and you're good to go. I've never seen a VT cop. Ever.
