Does anyone know anything about TWR Racing Brakes?

I've been ogling the StopTechs but I saw this post over on NASIOC in the Vendor annoucement section about 4pot rears to go with their 6pot fronts.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=759568

Low and behold, I go to their web site and what appears in a LGT in the banner.

http://www.twrracing.com/products/6/6-pistons.html

There prices are $1700 for the 6pots, $1500 for the 4pots and $1300 for the 2pots.

So, other than my statements, anyone ever heard of them??

"dust sealing will be an option" Not much of an option if you want your $1700 calipers to work for more than one winter season in N.E. I've always wondered about this.. Someone with experience care to comment? -> How do you deal with warranties and stuff? Not like going to autozone and getting a remanufactured caliper for $50 that has a 3 year or even lifetime warranty on it.

I've heard of them and was considering a set on my WRX for a while. I've only personally seen one set installed on a car and I was impressed with the quality. Talking to the owner of that car and some other owners they've all been happy with the performance of the brakes. Jerry at TWR was also very helpful in answering my questions.

And like just about any aftermarket performance part its going to be less convenient to get replacement parts and/or warranty work done. For people who want the extra performance though thats usually not a big deal.

Greg_STL - Our BBK's all use AP Racing calipers which are DOT compliant. All of them have internal dust seals and anti-rattle clips; thus the maintence schedule is very similar to that of your OEM caliper. (The calipers we use are varients of calipers used on Lotus, TVR's etc)

We have both a F&R kit available, our rear kit retains the use of the factory parking brake, is 310mm x 20mm vented 2pot.
