lemming Posted April 30, 2005 Share Posted April 30, 2005 one GT (sedan) had the Pirellis M&S tires, the GT wagon ran the toyo proxes 4. one full winter and a rainy fall and spring. in my opinion, running them back to back, the Pirellis are out and out the better tire for turn in and communicating at the limits (1), both are about even in the rain (2) but the Pirellis are superior in snow (3). i won't touch toyo's again. i have owned the T1S tire (on the 993) and they have a soft sidewall and the FZ4s (on the xiT) and after the proxes 4 (soft sidewall, okay rain grip), i'd just assume skip them. not a bad tire, but not a great one, either.
