Bolksey85
The golf ball is a slick idea but I think with it having next to no weight, I wouldn't like it. I had a #14 billiard ball in my MINI (no number affiliation, it was green and white to match the car) and that worked well. It had a metal adapter that added a little weight and even with my smallish hands, it was sized very nicely. http://www.mini2.com/galleries/data/500/WHALEN_001.jpg
Volleyball
You'd have to be a real golf fan to use it as your shifter. Not as much a fan as me trying to use a volleyball though. Unless someone found me a mini version

CTSubiefan
Sweet! I've probably played 8-9 courses down there. I enjoyed all 3 of the Palmetto Dunes courses, though I had 2 great rounds on the Jones course so I remember that one most fondly. Also enjoyed Hilton Head National - it's not near the water but has a nice layout. Post up your favorites for future reference.

My problem would be 2 told. 1, I'm only talented enough to rock mini golf and I even suck at that. And 2, I can't think of golf without having to quote Caddyshack.
