Probably drill a 12mm hole, then just thread it on. The core of a golf-ball is elastic enough that you can thread into it pretty easily, I would think.

Since pictures are blocked at work, what did you do about the shift boot retaining ring?

Hmm, that might require some creative steps for others to duplicate.

I've always thought about the golf-ball idea, but I have really big palms and a golfball is too small. I've also thought about the cue-ball, and I might actually give that a shot using an cue-ball.

Now that I can see the pictures at work, that looks pretty neat.

But that shift knob is HELLA low. I feel like you'd be punching the console with every shift!

Lol it's not bad, with the shift so short it's not bad lol but yea the ball is pretty small compared to the momo which has tAken some getting use to. I love it though just don't like how it is so light I notice myself having to put more effort to get it in gear

I think I'm going to go to Sports Authority today and pick up a few billiard balls.

I'm not a pool fanatic or anything, but I do think that the billiard ball is a good size and weight for a shift knob.

6 ball in a TR6?

I had a 6 ball in my Triumph when I lived in Hawaii. It disappeared when I had it shipped back to the mainland. Definitely a nice fit and feel if you have medium to large hands.

Drill, tap and mount

I was at a Golf store today picking a few things up, and saw a Titleist display. $2 for a #1 Logo'd ball. The logo? Adios!

Picked it up, drilled it and tapped it, threaded it right on. It's extremely light, and small (I have pretty big palms), but it's funny. It looks a little silly, but I'll keep it for a few days to try it out. Fab time was 3 minutes, MAX.
