Gmoe
Got my car in the shop to get a trans cooler installed. Just got a call from the shop stating that they car has a factory trans. cooler already??? "In the fender well, behind the battery" the guy tells me. Umm.. what? Tell me what they might be looking at?
Gmoe
Ok, just called me back. Apparently that's where the trans. filter of some kind is. How they could mistake that with a cooler, I dunno. Maybe they just saw the lines running back there and assumed. Anyway.. carry on.
tzdevil323
well technically our cars do already have a transmission cooler built in, but its in with the radiator. Also that just re-enforces the reason why I prefer to do most installs myself. I'm hungry:bbq:This burger is never gonna cook.
m sprank
Wow. I would avoid that shop in the future. Mistaking the tranny filter (it even says transmission filter on it) for a cooler? Just follow the lines in to the lower radiator and you realize the cooler is internal to the radiator.
