Beanboy
Ah, the joys of making a u-turn in the wet, especially on private property! Went in hot at ~ 30mph, and I felt like I was back in my FWD car, understeer! Get off the throttle a bit, pull the wheel over a bit more and hit the gas... Ah, here comes the rear wheels! Held the back out sideways for a sec near the top of 2nd gear before bringing it back inline. LGT is very polite when it is being rude! -B -B http://www.standardshift.com
Xenonk
just dont full-lock your steering.. the steering pump is weak and can blow out on you (see WRX doing donuts in the snow..). Keefe Keefe
Nick
You need to start autocrossing...you'd get to do that 5 times every Sunday.
Beanboy
Meh... I autocrossed my old car while at college and a handful of times with the local BMW chapter. Getting a crave for speed now that I have decent power in the car. Going to track school in June and hopefully a couple of more times through the summer and fall. Will get rid of the RE92s in spectacular fashion, and I'll know if track racing is something I'd like to pursue. With that said, wouldn't mind autocrossing again, but it is a pain to be a non-BMW owner this year and trying to autocross (half cars need to be BMW now). -B -B http://www.standardshift.com
Nick
Sounds like you need to go to SCCA events and ditch the BMWCCA.
