Jeffzguy Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I saw a similar thread that never really got resolved. Randomly when I am in a parking lot I will back out of the spot and the engine will just die. I have to restart it and sometimes it tried to die again as I move forward. After I get going it seems to go away but once it tried to die on the highway. Last night it wouldn't stay started at a stop so I had to hold the brake with one foot and rev it up at like 2k or so with the other, then pop it into drive and go. Otherwise it runs and drives fantastic and I can't find a single physically obvious problem, its been very well maintained...
Platinum_Racing Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I would start by checking any and all hoses that you can get at. A vacuum leak could cause the engine to stall at idle, but would give the illusion that its running good while you're on the throttle. Also, check the TPS sensor, the MAF sensor, and the IAC solenoid and any wires that connect them. Your best bet would be the hoses or the sensors I mentioned above.
