Nope. If its a LHD or RHD the torque converter is the same.

 

I'm not sure about the Phase II EJ22 having the same torque converter though.

 

 

so if i find another 92 legacy L awd the TC should work no prob? or any other awd legacy w/ the same motor/gearbox setup?

1989-1994 AWD or FWD Should bolt right up. You might want to get a second opinion though, but I'm almost positive that the FWD torque converter is the same.

 

I'm not sure about the second generation Legacy/first generation Imprezza, but they did come with EJ22 engines and the same 4EAT automatic transmission so its worth a look. Should still be the same though. I just don't want to tell you something that's not correct and have you waste your money, but anything with the EJ22 and an automatic transmission will likely bolt up and work fine.
