thestratomaster
This seems like a silly question but I can't figure out how to remove my stock shift knob. It unscrews but then doesn't come off. I can't figure out how to get the shift boot lip or whatever's down there off. Thanks
SlickSpur
Hmm, it should just unscrew off. It takes quite a few turns to actually get it to come off. Maybe put slight downward force while youre turning?
proflatlander15
Just pull. There is a seat that the leather boot fits into, and you just have to tug the knob out of the seat.
thestratomaster
^^ It twists off but then is stuck to the boot still. I didn't want to pull too hard...that's all that it takes?

lofthouse_gt
Yeah just pull up on the knob it will come right out of the seat, don't worry you aren't going to tear the leather. You could place your finger right on the seat and apply force downward while you are pulling up on the knob.
