I wonder if the USDM Legacy GT Wagon bumper would swap?

I think you can get JDM Outback bumper covers from Japanparts.

Looks like it's ~$1000 plus shipping for the painted bumper with mounting hardwear! That is a TON, considering that a replacement USDM bumper is like 1/3 that cost. Still, if I ever get rear-ended, I'm getting one of those!

But the JDM/EDM bumper bars fit under USDM bumpers?

Because I am trying to use an Australian Domestic Market tow bar on the back of my Outback.

If you are talking about trailer hitch....

EDM/JDM version (made by Thule) is different than USDM.

USDM legacy wagon / Outback have different placement of the trailer hitch mounting points on the frame rail.

Neither of the hitches you mention are what I'm talking about.

That is for the Legacy Wagon, but they make the same one that is Outback specific.

The reinforcing plates that goes under the rear frame rail (where the exhaust heat shields sit) may not bolt right to the USDM version.

Oh really? That blows. What makes you think that's the case?
