Yellow Fogs

I have DDM 3k, but they're pretty dull. I don't want to get laminx so I'm looking into either spraying them with something or possibly customizing some Lexus 9006 yellow capsules inside the housing. Suggestions would be appreciated.

The DDM's suck. I went with bulbs from diode dynamics and their yellow is so much more well yellow. I have to buy another set since I bottomed out my front bumper and popped a bulb :(

^ +1. There's been several reports over the last two years or so that the DDM "selective yellow" really isn't very yellow at all.

One of our members here even posted a set of pix demonstrating the difference between the DDM "yellow" and others.

has anyone uses lamenex on a 2001. how do you put your fog lights out to apply the film?

i did it for my friend, i think it was 3 bolts, just go under the bumper and you'll be able to get them out, yellow film and heat gun it'll come out real good

The nokya 2500k does throw a very nice yellow light. I have them in my highbeams. The DDM 3000k kit is barely yellow. I have them in my fogs. im still debating if I should put on yellow lamin-x or find a new hid yellow bulb cuz i hate the lamin-x look when lights are not on.

I'm running Luminics yellow bulbs in my fogs and I am very satisfied with the color and output. I didn't want to run the yellow film, yellow bulbs kept the exterior looking stock.

I have had a few yellow bulbs on my old GC's. Hella, Piaa, Nokya and Luminics and the Luminics were the most dull. I guess you had better luck

+1, had piaa -- they weren't bad for a filament bulb (nice color, above-average longevity [in my case]); but frankly when it comes to function, they're not even there compared to a 3000k hid.

I have 3000k hids. I just got ebay brands and they are actually pretty yellow.

The Luminics looked good while they lasted, but burnt out in about 7 months. So, can't say I would recommend them anymore. I might give the Nokya's a try next or go all out with 3000K HIDs.
