phuzaxeman
i have a black legacy and you know how the story goes on the paint. i had 2 accidents over the past year. 1 person hit me head on while i was at a stop sign. lady was going only 5 miles per hour. they replaced only my hood and front bumper and support. now everything looks new. my 2nd accident, i was rear ended. it was not really fast but they also replaced my rear bumper. structurally everything is still great and now i has some new parts in my car. :-)

underscore
You're lucky. If I got hit they wouldn't have insurance, they'd run anyway and the police wouldn't do crap, and my insurance would pay for it but then premiums would go up.
LosAngelesLGT
Two hits on the carfax vs. getting a $350 detail? Meh, I'll take the detail over the accidents any day. Glad your car looks great!
burnout8488
Yeah, I guess it wouldn't matter only if he plans on keeping it foreverrrrr. Otherwise the resale might be a little low. Still, the crispy new paintjob might make the car look too good to pass up for a 5 year old car.
LosAngelesLGT
^ excellent point considering the craptastic OEM paintjob My carfax is dinged. Year six... Planning for six more.
B-Power-B
And its not like he choose to get rear ended and hit at a stop sign. He is more of a "glass half full" kinda guy and found some positive in 2 otherwise very frustrating situations.

Glad your car looks great! i don't plan on selling my car soon. so the situation worked out well. i enjoy the new paint on my slick new hood and it's nice to see my front and rear bumpers shiny again. those parts of my car are new and those were the parts i dreaded most to look at.
