Jeffzguy
Sometimes when my car sits for a day or so there is a delay from keyturn to engine start. I turn the key and it waits 3-5 seconds before anything happens. Most of the time it just starts real fast but I worry it may not start at some point. Do you think it is a solenoid going out? Bdubs
Possibly the starter solenoid contacts. Only a few bucks, and pretty easy to replace.

fkyx
Is the delay between key-turn and cranking? If that's the case and the other things people mentioned check out, you may want to check your ignition switch.
Platinum_Racing
+1 for the solenoid contacts and the negative lead. Rusty grounds and corroded terminals can cause all sorts of strange things.
