Jeffzguy
Why the heck is a starter motor assembly 100 bucks and the solenoid is 500 bucks and the starter main gear is 200? Lol. Another question is why do some spark plug wire sets say OE type connectors and some just don't say anything?
Legacy Wagon
They're not on ebay or CL No clue. Cheaper brands? It really doesn't matter too much from my experience. These are crappy old cars.
sqc151
some wires have a 90 degree bend to clear certain things on certian year cars. OE just means its what comes stock on the car from the factory, but any set of subaru wires will work. i like the straight design myself. the 90s tend to come off sometimes. edit, im sorry for posting this useful info after i just saw ur comment in the other thread. but ill leave it here since ur new to subarus. hope this helps anyway. Jeffzguy
That's odd I am not seeing any with any bends in them. Ahh well wires are wires.
sqc151
yeah, some subarus have the top 2 wires that connect to the coil at a 90 degree bend. kinda like this... http://www.theautochannel.com/autoparts/images/products/engineparts/u897928721ylh.jpg i prefer this, then tie wrap it to the coil to keep it secure. http://www.yiparts.com/data/180187/180187040900-4b01073d2dc6d.jpg
