wcbjr
Just installed my replacement cartridges, after a hundred miles or so the top nuts came loose. I had tightened them down with vice-grips on an allen key to hold the shaft still and a 17mm wrench. Thought that would be ok, guess not. I proceeded to break a 5mm hex socket and slice my finger open. I stopped there. I asked BC what the torque is, here is their response. wcbjr, We recommend using an impact gun to tighten down the top nuts. It is the best way to keep them from coming loose. Thanks BC RACING NORTH AMERICA I forgot what I was supposed to remember.
