bvondran
FYI, I just bought the factory sub (actually the '05 baja model) for $105 from subaruparts.com I'm not affiliated with them at all. Brian
ikonomore
Hi, Does anyone know if this is the same as the one that goes in the 05 legacy? If it is, would it include all the cables to hook it up? Thanx, j
Mrlantra
A better question wil the harness work on a JDM 2001 GT with the Micintosh system.
mvigneau
Yes...now the '05 Baja model that i just bought worked GREAT. The only difference is the bracket so I highly suggest it because you can use velcro or whatever. The bracket is not worth $85-100. dregaar
How difficult was it to install the sub? I've been debating getting one installed by the dealer, but this is like 1/3rd of the price he would charge me.
mvigneau
It was very easy. Remove the radio. Unscrew driver's seat, Plug the adapter into back of radio, run the wire to the hole cut out under driver's seat rug, plug in the subwoofer and test. Put everything back together and enjoy. Put everything back together and enjoy. do you know if the Subaru sub limits how far down the driver's seat can go? i'm a tall guy and when I get into the Legacy GT LTD i'm thinking of buying I have to move the seat all the way back and all the way down so I have enough headroom. Does the subwoofer being installed under the driver's seat limit this? I'll need to know this before tomorrow as I was hoping to buy the car tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated.
