So is your phone plugged into anything? How is the BT call quality?

I can vouch for call quality on my t605. I've got it run through the phone input pins for the 05/06 radio. Call quality is better than my iPhone being used as a phone normally. Music quality is acceptable, but noticably compressed.

I'm pretty impressed, and it beats every headset/plug and play by speakerphone I've tried so far

I'm going to be putting a full how-to together as soon as I get a few parts to complete the harness. Essentially you're going to have to add 3 pins (phone +, phone-, and signal) to the existing 8 pin subwoofer harness. Run the constant, switched, and ground as you probably already have. Real simple! Once you have those additional 3 wires connected, the radio will automatically mute and switch over to the phone.

The worst part is finding pins for the i85 harness.

Does your phone automatically pair (if BT is enabled on the phone)?

I wonder how this would go into an 09...

Awesome. That's the one short coming of the solution I have ATM. Great sound quality (slight clipping occasionally), but it doesn't auto-pair when I get in the car.

I don't have the T605 yet. I'll get one, but only if I can find a definitive answer to plugging it into the 09 HK stereo.

You might be able to use a quick connect harness for it. They aren't just for Parrots.

I would not use those.... They kill the audio quality for the media mode on the Parrots and wont do audio with a Motorola setup.

On the T605 and a '09 radio, you do not have a "phone" input any more. You might be able to use the nav input, but I'd suggest just using the included speaker for voice. There is a "mute" pin in the connecter the Aux in comes though, attach that to the "mute" wire from the t605. For audio, just put the output into the aux in 3.5mm plug. You could rewire it, but I dont think you'd want to.

Wow! Would that be pin 4 on the socket that the car's i85 harness plugs into? Which radio model(s) do you know have that? (number printed on the front)

I recently discovered that the SVX factory radio has an undocumented mute pin on the main radio harness. Not connected in any cars/markets that I'm aware of.

I've seen mute wires on many Subaru radios in Europe -- a pigtail hanging off the back. Makes me wonder if it's required by law over there. I also wonder if the feature is present in most Subaru radios, and merely not brought outside on some of them.

I would LOVE to integrate bluetooth into my car. Mostly for audio, but phone calls as well. However, I want to be able to answer calls on the handset without using bluetooth. I also want to have it auto-pair when I get in the car, that's actually a pretty important one. A small controller that's unobtrusive is fine, I really want something that's almost OEM like, and plug-and-play is all that really fits my time constraints these days.

Well, my shenanigans have been stopped by the Android 2.1 update. Time to retire the 601. I cant use the phones out and avrcp at the same time anymore. They drastically changed the audio and Bluetooth code in 2.1. I wish the BT settings on android went a bit deeper. I don't think there are any apps to select certain profiles and I don't have the time to write one.

I've got a bid on a Jabra BT3030. This was the device I was originally going to buy. Hopefully it sounds good.

What was the problem with the Android 2.1 update?

I have a moto droid. Glad I didn't get a 605 just yet!

the bluetooth audio quality on the 605 SUCKS so i used a straight line in, but still used the AVRCP from the 605. I could plug in my line in after the BT connected and the audio woiuld stream from the headphones.

With 2.1, the bluetooth audio always overrides the headphones jack.

Ah, sounds logical. I guess there is no setting in "media player" for that? I never looked.

I noticed relatively little quality difference between the input methods from my Droid (BT vs. line-in). Maybe the 605 just isn't good for that kind of thing.

Got my Jabra BT3030 today and couldnt be more pleased. It sounds AEWSOME, is small, light and just works good. I'm actually using outside to stream music from my phone. I can DJ the tiki party from anywhere in the backyard. ;)

I bought it on ebay for about $20. Came with a charger, earbuds, and some clips and such. Came from China in about 2 weeks. Ill post up the seller later. A++++

Got a chance to really test it out today. This thing rocks! I think I'm buying a second one.
