Beanboy
Can you mix same tires minus load rating difference? Needed two new RE960AS tires, but they are XL versus what I have on the car now. Difference in tread depth is within the 2/32 spec. On a trip this weekend, will do the string test when I return. If that is within spec, are there any issues with having two tires being a different load rating? Thanks! -B http://www.standardshift.com
joeblow
I'm not an expert by any means, but I think if you keep the load under the limit for the lowest number you should be fine. Like how if a 15 amp fuse blows out, you can replace it with a 10 and not have any damage done to the electrical components. But again, I'm not an expert, so hopefully someone else with more experience can chime in. It's cool; I'm with the band
Beanboy
Yeah the load rating is fine, just not sure about diff issues. Will measure circumference next week. If that's within spec, I guess I am set. -B http://www.standardshift.com
