Laverne
I got a DEI remote start as a gift. Uppon researching the install I see I need an immobilizer interface. Upon researching that item I found that I will basically lose one of my keys as it requires a universal bypass kit. This means that my key will be in a box located near the ignition source so that the car will start. Thus I will lose one key and then thusly requiring an extra key to be made. Is there a way around this:?

ClimberDHexMods
I don't know about DEI, but I know some companies make a module that integrates with the BIU, and bypasses the immobilizer WITHOUT sacrificing a key. However, all keys do need to be reprogrammed with this route. There are ways.
