NewLegacyOwner
I was taking my son over to grandma's a few weeks ago and got out of the car and noticed the rear wheel's center cap had come off. I really don't feel like shelling out 20 bucks for a new one and haven't had my email to the parts people at the dealership returned yet. http://www.subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partdetail.php?partid=16734 The tire was replaced by the dealership at 1500 miles because of a freaking nail. My assumption would be when it was laying around the shop floor, it could have been loosened up somehow. I haven't hit any curbs or made my car suffer any trauma otherwise. Is it worth pursuing or should I suck it up and shell out the $$$?
subie_dude05
i would at least give them a call to ask if one was found....maybe see if they offer? i doubt though that they will own up to it or offer to replace. if they are anything like the dealerships near me. when i got new tires at ntb i noticed like the next day that the cap was missing they told me it was on me for not noticing it immediately. good luck! Mr. Sinister
It could've fallen off because of something they did, but it would be hard to prove. Especially if it has been several weeks. I'd be happy if the dealer sold me a new one at cost.

Wang Lung
I wouldn't call. If it is important to you, I'd do it in person. It's much more difficult for someone to say no to you looking you in the eye. If they say no, remember to choose your battles wisely.
pillboy
My money says that whoever installs it presses on the center of the cap and bends it. Dumbass thin aluminum. It is still ugly.
