max_bobby
Looks good. But it looks like you will have to do some mods to make it fit
MDKSDMF
do you know what i should expect to modify? ive found some threads but nothing on working with these knock offs ya know? i wonder if it would be cheaper and easier to do a DIY grill with the crown vic mesh on ebay....i just dont have the the time these days to really experiment
max_bobby
I can't remember exactly, but it has to with the aftermarket grille not aligning with the holes. A lot of guys either purchase R-Rev sports. He makes good stuff. I am thinking of doing the same thing with regard to the crown vic grill. I would say if you can do a DIY job, then do it especially if you are mechanically inclined. It maybe easier for you given that you have a 05, the 08's seem to be a pain. Check this site regarding grille. http://rrevsports.com/ http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114000&highlight=grille
MDKSDMF
thanks for the links bro. i might go with the rrevsports. it looks like a really good deal. will the grill install with minimal hassle?
Philadelphias Worst
I spoke with the seller a few months back and he stated that these only fit JDM not USDM. Hope this helps. Happy New Year!!!

I don't mind if it needs to be painted Yeah, it's like $200 for the non cf one. I do really like the color match look. I ended up going cf because I didn't feel like having it painted. It's amazing how much one of these grilles changes the personality of our cars. I get comments pretty regularly. People say it looks "mean." MDKSDMF
if its literally like drill a couple holes here and trim this corner there... i'd do it. lol but i dont have like ten hours a day to play with my LGT LOL. work and training for fights consumes my life!!!!! 05gtlimited300
ive seen the grille in person. its fit pretty well but its very flimsy. It doesnt really have a snug fit. its hard to explain but it sits a little off the bumper

05gtlimited300
you could probably use some fiberglass to reinforce it
lieutenantcolumbo
I got that grille. Swapped out the mesh grille that it came with for the grilleguy razr black powder coated grille (also on e-bay, bought the bulk raw material and cut it to size). I added a L7 badge but left the fiberglass black for now. You only have to drill four holes in it to install it. It's not as solid as the original grille because it's completely open in the center. I would say the razr grille material made it have less flex, but either way it wasn't going anywhere. There's a small gap at the bottom right now. Plan to put some padding under the bumper to even it out and maybe cable tie the bottom to pull it down a little more. Excuse the pictures, the car is filthy with the constant snow, cinders, and salt we have been having. There's a couple other photos of mine (cleaner car, think it had the original mesh grille material) posted under one the the L7 badge threads
