Riderice
After driving around for a while and then come to a stop and I'm just sitting (like a red light or traffic), I get an engine smell of some kind. It's not exhaust, or burnt oil, or melted brakes as far as I can tell. I just smells like hot oil I guess. I remember being told that was expected for a while when the car was brand new, but now it has 14k miles on it. The oil is clean and the level doesn't drop over time. Should I be worried? It's not a terrible smell, but definitely not pleasant. Anyone else experience this? Based on other posts I guess I should check coolant level maybe... Gmoe
Check all your levels when suspect something may be burning off. But yea, kind of sounds like maybe coolant. Check underneath at a stop, anything drooling? Clutch stink maybe?
dwood1111
Maybe a front axle boot. When mine went it smelled like nothing else, especially when I drove it hard and the grease baked on my down pipe. Probably not with the low miles but you may want to check. Goof luck
