AVO Drop in...did I do this right? Pic inside.

I normally wouldn't ask such a question but I saw a picture of someone elses and it seems in that pic, that the filter is very close to opeing where the air funnel connects. When I put My AVO filter in it basically fits right between both halves of the air box. Do I need to shove the filter all the way in as close to the funnel opening as possible. That would require squeezing the hell out of the rubber on the gasket. Maybe the pic I saw was an optical illusion?

here is a pic of how it went in...Is this right? It was pretty easy, just annoying.

I just looked at the instruction sheet it came with and it appears I put it in right. I'll try and reverse it tomorrow and see if it fits that way.

If anyone can snap a pic of theirs in place so I can see if I'm losing my mind, I'd be great full.

No, I can clamp them back together, I just had it unclamped for the pic. It snaps together fine.

Subiedad51,

Yeah thats the pic I looked at after that made me believe I did it right. The pic instep 6 shows the filter with the lip facing in, and thats the front half of the air box, not the back half.
