RustyShackleford
What's a good all-purpose digital multi-meter, $200 plus or minus ? I know Flukes are good, and there are a FEW in the price range (mcmelectronics.com). Tenma is a more affordable brand; I got a soldering iron from them and real pleased with it. Even though I'm a EE who does lotsa car work, I'm not clear what unusual or extra features you'd want in a meter for car work.
Scotty
You don't need a $200 multi-meter to do general car work. If you don't have a reason to get a multi-meter recalibrated on an annual basis, you don't need a high end multi-meter.
FocuS
I just have the Fluke 112 (I think) and it works fine for me. I made sure to get the one with back-light for dark under-dash conditions....
