Preachers Sheets
I think I am going to need two new wheel bearings or the wheel bearing assembly for the front right and rear right. I know the complete assembly is 145.00 per wheel, how much should I expect to pay for install? It only takes 30 minutes but I dont know if this is one of the flat rate jobs where the dealer charges three hours no matter what.
scoobydoobie
you have an 09', shouldn't that be under warranty?
AZP Installs
Yeah they should be under warranty. It takes a bit more than 30 min for the front. Rear IIRC is not a bolt-in affair, so that's removal of the whole control arm and press out. -mike
Preachers Sheets
If the damage was self induced then it would be my $$$ responsibility, if the damage was induced under normal operating conditions it would be the dealer's responsibility. AZP Installs
Well if it was self induced, like you hit something, then you'd probably have done more damage to the car, then you might as well use your insurance to cover it. -mike
JoeFromPA
Most shops who aren't intimately familiar with your particular wheel bearing are going to do a flat rate of 90-120 minutes for a wheel bearing job, because they don't take into account what all is involved with removal, stubborn bolts, etc.... A good shop who knows your type of car might just say an hour.
Bbc84
try a different dealer and see if they will cover it under warranty.
jamal
two hours of labor should be more than enough on a car with bolt in bearings.
