Onthewagon
Is it safe to use glass cleaner on the clear plastic in front of the instrument panel? I don't want to find out the hard way that it is the kind of plastic that turns white when exposed to glass cleaner. Mine has some kind of residue that makes the gauges look hazy. If you guys think that would be too harsh, can you suggest something milder? Maybe a weak solution of dish soap? I did a search, but didn't find any info on this topic. rnstein69
A microfiber cloth might do the trick.

pflo
I use Stoner's invisible glass and microfiber towel and it works great.
Bdubs
Any window cleaner will be fine. I spray it on the cloth first, rather than directly on the plastic, so it doesn't spatter everywhere.
Brady
A plush microfiber dry can be effective, and Stoner's Invisible Glass would also be safe. I don't know about Windex or anything else with ammonia. I've never tried it. It's generally a bad idea to use anything with ammonia in it for your car anyway. DrivenPerfection
A Microfibre Towel is a great place to start. You can also try Novus Plastic Polish, #2 works well on instrument clusters. A small amount goes a long way.... http://www.aerostich.com/files/images/detailed/3553li.jpg
pillboy
I will vouch for Novus #2. I got something on the clear instument lens many years ago (different car) and it "frosted" where it hit the plastic. This stuff made it look like new. Great product. It is still ugly.
