christurismohk
Finally got this baby installed! I am so satisfied with the outcome. Some notes *The AVO single din needs to be modified, but it was not difficult. *The inner bracket needs to be adjusted also because the direction is slightly pointing towards Right for RHD cars, but time and patient solved it. *The plastic behind the cubby needs to be trimmed, need patient also *To keep the stock HU working, use a LOC, and use the new HU's AUX as output. All thanks to: David Carter and his Forward/Reverse Harnesses!!! NatesGr8
how do you like that backup camera? I'm currently searching for one to put in my car and this is one i'm considering.
christurismohk
^ This is my first backup cam, and I have to say I like it a lot. I read many reviews and did a lot of research, and this one is one of the best out there. Night vision is really good also, so I highly recommend this! BravoZero
That is a beautiful install. I like the ability to use the Clarion unit as the main source and the OEM unit as an AUX input... brilliant! How much did this project cost overall?
christurismohk
^depending on what you really want as a HU. The MUST get are:avo dinharnessesLOC Optional:navibackup cambypass device for HU btw, just noticed you have a 2.5i...you can just replace ur stock HU with the metra kit since you do not have dual climate
BravoZero
^ I have a 2.5i Limited so I do have the dual climate controls. I wish i had the manual controls... life would be easier.

christurismohk
u can kinda ballpark the price of the parts u find from ebay lol. I think it cost me 800ish+/- like i said, the MUST get are: avo din harnesses LOC (IF you wanna have sound coming out from the stock HU) Everything else can be cheaper depending on what you use as HU with or without navi
corymxl
Looks great! I really just want an aux port but I have the 06 wondering what would be easier, switching in a 07 HU and wiring up the aux port or doing this instead. Definitely like the idea of having a radio on the cubby though
