hello all , i have 2 legacy's , the problem i have is a lumpy idle on my 1998 GT ,

http://legacygt.com/forums/http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/felyx247/09102009685.jpg[/img] i cannot for the life of me work out where this vacum hose goes (the one in the pliers ) it's connector has snapped of inside the rubber hose .

would be so gratefull if somebody could shed some light on this , as far as i know the car is totally 100% standard and never had BOV's etc.

many thanks PETE :)

Ok will take a better picture on monday it's a 1998 import so 1999 uk spec , the vacum hose in the pliers is coming from the front right hand side of the top mounted intercooler , and droped down behind the big 45mm black hose , i took all the hoses off in that area that i could without mega disassembly but could not for the life of me find it's orginal location.

will post fresh picture on monday many thanks.

also where is the best place to get a air flow meter ??? i am not going to pay subaru £323.15p in vat etc LOL:lol:

many thanks

its a 1998 import 2litre twin turbo (2 stage turbo)

so that would make it the same as a UK 1999 2 litre car .

N.B the air box with tree leaves on it is the intercooler , not the air box, the air box intake is only just visable in the bottom right of the wide angle picture and has the MAF in it .

many thanks Pete

cool! wish i had the twin turbo in my car :p

but i've never done any work on this one seeing as it's the euro-spec. sorry if i could see it and fiddle maybe i could work it out

your best bet is a forum (like this haha) that has another guy working with the 2L twin turbo, because this is a specific question to a specific engine that most people don't work with. it's seldom to find someone who's dealt with it, kind of like my mystery squeak problem. most people have no idea where/what the squeak is in my car, and i've spent 4 months trying to find the bloody location of it so it can be fixed! but it's rare, and i'm having trouble haha. you could always get a vacuum diagram specific to that engine too; try googleing it! there will be a specalist on vacuum routes for your engine somewhere
