aigochamaloh
Hmm. It seems to come from the right side when I'm sitting in the car. I've been getting UOA's since the first couple oil changes and nothing out of the ordinary. I hope it's nothing bad. Good luck on your short block change. thebootyhouse
You should ask for it. Every bit of protection helps. Maybe the piston was allergic to the nonoxynol-9 additive? I know mine was.
Spoonwacker
I've heard of that happening. My piston has always been okay with it, but sometimes the cylinders have had problems. Still, sometimes you have to make sacrifices in the name of suck-squish-bang-blow... sorry...this forum practically blows goat nuts so im not always on here.Team Pony Express POSTED FROM MY COMPUTER USING A WEB BROWSER
GEE-OTTO
Few points there is no way to swap out the short block while it is still attached to your transmission aka still in your engine bay. Sounds more like you had a valve train failure and they are replacing the driver side head which can be done with the motor in the car. In any event keep an eye in the oil even if you pay to have it changed you can only trust what you know about the car and you can always trust the dip stick
