BAC5.2
I was at the stealership the other day picking up a tube of touch-up-paint. They wanted the entire VIN, despite my efforts to tell them to just give me Satin White Pearl. So I ambled out to the car to grab the paint code and, lo and behold, there was no VIN plaque on the drivers side strut tower. I can't remember if my N/A 09 OBSE had a vin plate there or not. Does anyone else not have one? Odd. TSiWRX
^ I only stopped off on this thread as I was just in that area of my car the other day, and yep, there's one, on top of the driver's side strut tower. I'm an '05 (June '04 DOB, actually) LGT sedan. I wonder if other years had it moved, elsewhere? <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
rnstein69
I *think* mine is also on the dashboard visible through the front windshield on the drivers side, I could be mistaken though.
BAC5.2
The plate I'm talking about has more info on it than the VIN. It's got your paint code and all that jazz. If it's not on the drivers strut tower on the 09's, where is it? Some of that info is critical! LGT Dave
Mine is on the edge of the front passenger side door, down towards the bottom (on the door itself, not the body of the car).
93turbo2
Yeah, my '07 doesn't have a vin plate in the engine bay, just your regular vin sticker on the drivers door and the detailed one on the front passengers door.
