coldradio1 Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 So I've noticed there is quite a bit of gear whine in my 2nd gear. I can still hear a little in 1st and 3rd too. I've been babying the car big time because of it. I'm probably gonna change the tranny and diff fluid anyways with some nice Amsoil and hopefully, that will take some of the whine out of it. JoeFromPA Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 I swapped to AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w110 and it quieted down alot. You still get alot of syncro whine when trying to downshift into 2nd at 30mph, or similar, but the overall drivetrain whine noises have gone down alot.
