thebigevilfoot
Hey everyone, I got a dent on my roof above my driver side front door and was wondering if anyone knew any home remedies on how to pull the dent back into place. Thanks for the help! Pic: It's a little bit dented on the roof and the panel trim thing around the doors, it would be very nice if I can get them to be not as noticable. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/8110/imgp1251i.jpg http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/7113/cardent.jpg
LGT Dave
Trying to fix something like this is risky, and you could end up making things worse than they are now if you really don't know what you're doing. Your best bet would be to find a PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) place near you and let a professional take care of it.
Imrac
I would just pay a professional to do a job that big. Just make sure they guarantee their work (in writing). That way if they screw it up, they have to pay to fix it. I gotta ask though... how did that happen?
MadMontie1
definitley look for a PDR vendor. That dent on the roof rail is going to be pretty tough to get out, PDR sometimes doesnt even work on those rails, but it's the best option and even if they cant get it out 100% it's better to probably live with the result rather than having anything conventionally repaired and painted there
Legend
PDR indeed. I go about once every 18 months to have everything taken out. I got a nasty trunk dent this spring... cost me $75 to get fixed, including 4-5 other very minor door dings. Here is a before and after. http://beeez.com/lgt/trunkdent2.jpg http://beeez.com/lgt/trunkdent3.jpg My '05 LGT My '07 Supercharged Shelby
pillboy
Go to Auto Zone, buy a tub of Bondo and a rattle can of primer and some paint that is close. And quit doing a victory dance on your roof like a NASCAR driver after your morning commute. It is still ugly.
