Would It Rub?

225 on a 9" wheel isn't too bad of a stretch (especially compared to what some VW guys run). That statement also depends on the manufacturer as not all tires are "225" so to speak. Check this website out to get an idea of what the stretch might look like (also offers various size tires from different manufacturers)... this website also has some of the extreme examples of "stretch":

Yes, you're right. When I said 15mm spacers I meant the ones that came w/ the studs. :)

ahh.. gotcha.. they seem to be legit, but I would be kind of hesitant. Making the wheel stick out that far has to put more strain on the hub/bearing; just something to think about.

This is how far a 17x8 +35 offset will stick out with the stock suspension. They tire is the stock Potenza 215/45 and it is stretched big time. The Potenza's must run small compared to other 215's. If the tires were flush with the wheels I think they would rub the fenders quite a bit. I'm switching to the same wheel but with a +45 offset this time and when the Potenza's are worn down I'll go to a wider tire.

If it sticks out, when you turn it may rub unless you got a really stiff suspension. There's photos of Overboost's car in the "Legacy Photos" section in the thread "The Church of the Sooper Aggressive Legacy Setup". He's running 18x9 +35 and running -2.5 camber in front and -1.5 in the rear. He's lowered on coilovers though. He also had to roll/pull the fenders. You've got a wagon which means less clearance in the rear.

Sorry if the answer is posted elsewhere, but I'm new here :)

What where and how is the wagon different in the rear when it comes to clearance? I've been looking at the Church or sooper aggressive Legacy's thread and trying to work out a good fitment for my LGT wagon
