sumpunkster Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 I have a 2000 LGT. can i take out my sohc 2.5 and put in say, a 99 dohc 2.5 and it all be the same? im still trying to fix my car and now i think im just gona put a different engine in it. any help would be great guys. GEE-OTTO Posted September 6, 2009 Share Posted September 6, 2009 you want to swap out SOHC heads for DOHC heads right ??? you can swap the entire engine in to the car but you will have to swap the wiring harness and maybe the ECU the short blocks of the two engines are the same the top ends are not different valve train different sensors not a plug n play.
