02-03 wrx front sway same as 05 Legacy?

according to progress suspension it is ..

i will take them off this afternoon and take a pict

they have different part numbers at progress

but that is what i got and that is what i was supposed to get according to rich @precision tuning

edit:

so after playing with front sways all afternoon here is what i came to

the 05 legacy turbo front bar is very simmilar to the wrx front sway bar. close enough to count anyway (see picts in post #5)

the main difference is the bushings.. the wrx bushing uses a bushing with a raised ridge in it. the legacy uses a channeled bushing

so for ease a wrx front sway +new bushings = legacy turbo front sway bar

i some how ended up with 2 extra sets of 24mm bushings for legacy. so if any one else wants to try this pm me

does not look totally right to me, maybe you should send him the pics and ask him what is up. Seems to me that all the other sways are a much closer match to the OEM shape and width.

With what you have there, looks like you might be putting too much pressure on the end link and that may cause premature failure.

If it were me, I would NOT put that on my car....send it back and get it worked out.

so i played with it some more

the progress mounts are slotted so i moved the whole assembly forward another 1/4 of an inch

so the 24mm setting will work

right now there is no tension on the end links .. like its supposed to

??the directions from progress said to do it in the air with the wheels off??

i used ramps like your supposed to

gonna go drive it

i guess i am more pissed that i basically gave away a 02 front sway bar last week

other pic is the springs and rear bar with gc8 eibachs in the background anyone need a set?

well i took it for a drive when down the pot holed dirt alley that always made the whiteline bar on my wrx foul.. no contact

seems ok

at rest on the ramps the end links are perfectly straight up and down :)

i remembered that i have a stock front wrx swaybar .. at least i know progress wasn't too far off

legacy on top

i found the rattle. seems some droped a screw driver

its sitting inbetwen the frame rail and headder melting

one of the draw backs of the under trey

so

i offically declair the front sway bar approved

with the right bushings

edit- nope not any more hits the control arm due to bushing flex
