Salle071 Posted August 22, 2009 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I am toying with an idea to install gps unit in place of the sing cover. It seems just the right thickness - if it is removed, gps would sit flush with the dash. Now I have to find one that is right dimensions. Should not be too hard give how many models are out there now. Has anyone removed the storage assembly? I'd like to know how before I break tabs etc. in the dash. MOMSWGN Posted October 6, 2009 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Not familiar with the 2.5i, but do you mean the cubby? If so it is easy: Grab the assembly from the bottom portion and pull out and up. The entire center section and vents are removed in one piece. Before you pull the entire assembly out you'll need to disconnect the harness for the cubby light on top and the harness for the trip computer on the bottom. It is just a matter of rocking the assembly up or down to get access to the two harnesses. There is a walk through somewhere, just search. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
