LGTspecB1657615261
It took just 45 minutes. I have heard of other people having issues with JDM grills, maybe because they were JDM Legacy grills? My JDM Outback grill fit no problem, just had to cut 2 notches on the top of the bumper to make clearance for the tabs on the bottom of the JDM gill. I just used a sharp razor blade / box cutter. The bumper plastic is weak. I am going to trim a little more later to tuck the bottom in more, but right now it looks good... I might just leave it as is. It matches the "slope" of the stock grill right now.

LGTspecB1657615261
My headlights are OFF in these pics... the flash is reflecting off. Crazy, it looks like they are on. I had to do a double take. Here are some pics of this grill on Tomcats car during the day. http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2548520&postcount=1110

LGTspecB1657615261
Hey guys, should I paint this grill DGM? LGTspecB1657615261
FYI removing the badge involves lots of creative work + bondo, etc and it could turn out bad. Due to the rare-ness of these grills, I think I am keeping it. I will mask off the emblem and the chrome emblem surround if I paint it. Has anyone produced a professional looking part with color-match spray paint? I could get it professionally done, or I could attempt to do it with color-match spraypaint as well. I will NOT paint it flat black. There is too much grill there, it would look wrong I think. I am still considering blacking out my headlights and using the color-match spray paint. The paint quality, though important, is less critical being that it is inside a housing. Thanks guys.
Gmoe
Different and unique, but only so so for me. It's a bit busy. You liking it is what counts though. I think it would look better body color too. I used a rattle can ordered from paintscratch.com to repaint my passenger door handle. You'd never know. Matches perfectly and came out great. Of course.. you have to have some painting experience so the finish comes out correct.
LGTspecB1657615261
Bump... just painted this gill using DGM paint from paintscratch.com. I will install it later today to see what it looks like. So far, I like it, the metallic fleck in the paint was impressive. I used Dupli-color adhesion promoter for a primer because it is supposed to work well on holding spraypaint to plastic. But because I did that, I think the base DGM coat came out a little dark. A lighter primer might have been better from a color perspective. I used rustoleum lacquer for the clear coat. I need to buff and polish it; its a little orange-peeled right now. Looks glossy, but not quite like the factory clear coat. All in all, I paid less than $50 in paint supplies, so it was worth trying on my own. Yea I know.... PICS OR DIE! LGTspecB1657615261
Oh yea, I also sanded the back of the Emblem and painted that DGM as well. Here are some fresh picks. I still need to use some rubbing compound on the lacquer. Now I need to paint the inside of my headlights DGM, and the fog surrounds. Then the front will be complete. Paint match is spot on.... http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz199/LGTSpecB/SNC12350.jpg http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz199/LGTSpecB/SNC12354.jpg http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz199/LGTSpecB/SNC12355.jpg http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz199/LGTSpecB/SNC12356.jpg http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz199/LGTSpecB/SNC12357.jpg
