When I am driving slowly on a street or in a parking lot, etc. and I shift from 1st to 2nd under 3K RPMs I get a clunk and the shift is notchy. It is not a grind, just a loud shift I guess. When I shift above 3K RPMs it smooth and does not make this clunking sound. I was wondering if this is normal for the 6 speed. Any help on this would be appreicated. spect2k Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009 It depends what you define to be a clunk. The 6spd is hardly the smoothest out there. Even the new 2010 is taking heat for the "clunky" 6spd. I'm going to throw in some new synthetic fluid at the end of the month in the hope of smoothing it out some.
