stlnet
Well, when I'm out driving, the rear, left brake disk gets really hot, transfering heat to my rim and it smells burned rubber. I can touch the rim, without burning my hand, and there is no blue heat color (as far as I can see) on the brake disk, but I can clearly feel a difference from the right side of the car (the temperature one the right side rim is normal, and I don't feel that much heat from the brake disk). Any suggestions? How serious is this?
Bolksey85
On a 10 year old car it could be a caliper hanging up on either side. Left is sticking when out and getting red hot or right side isn't going out and not working. It wouldn't be uncommon on an old Legacy. Fairly common I remember from my retail days. Verwilderd
Check your pads as well to make sure they aren't warped, or mostly gone..
Deaks2
You may just need to lube up your slider pins.
whitetiger
sounds like one of the calipers or pads are stuck.
