One more LED mod before the fad dies.

Not to sure which way I want to mount them, but this is how they currently sit. My fogs still turn on independantly. Lemme know what you think. Be truthful!

Oh yeah you can actually see the individual LEDs in person, but I couldn't capture it on camera.

LEDs a fad? I'm not so sure that its that much of a fad.. in fact it seems to be replacing most lighting technology in the long run. Underbody "neon" now by in large is LED. Many have been working towards viable in home LED lighting that would use almost no power to run (and not have mercury in them like cfls..and last like 10 years of continuous use) traffic lights are LED.. some auto makers are even making LED DRLs and have toyed with LED headlights.

so I'm not sure "fad" is the right word. ;)

I think it looks good. I was thinking about finding a way to rig up some amber LEDs in my turn signals on the sides and maybe in the front, but I have no deadline for such a thing.

Well I've seen the ones done in the headlights before and they look great, I'm assuming yours do too, I just can't really see it very clearly. The ones down by the fogs, don't think I'm really a fan because there are already fogs down there, it looks like they almost sit in front of the upper half of the fogs? But anyways, having two lights in the same area looks a bit odd IMO.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. LEDs will sooner or later become the new standard on future automobiles, that I can almost guarantee. When I say "fad" I am refering to the large number of people like myself that are adding aftermarket LEDs to places they were not orginally. Not really helping in efficiency if they are added not replaced.

But thanks for the comments. DGM21 I totally agree that it does look kinda weird at day when you can see the foglight peeking behind the other housing. I was debating if I should replace it with a 2.5i cover or something as I never use my fogs.

I like. It looks good the way it is, but I see what DGM is saying about the two housings. Since it's dark and the car is black it's hard to notice the fogs, but it looks good.

How are they mounted? What are you using?

Here is a daytime pic, plus a shopped pic of what it would look like without the foglight behind it.

The piece is off of a JDM Nissan. Cost me $40. I put in an LED strip from Oznium that fit perfectly.

I've "ran aground" many times on my car and its at stock levels..

people laugh at me when it happens.. I dont worry about it anymore.. they have these dents under the bumper that seem specifically designed to keep from scratching the whole bumper..

but.. those dents look pretty bad on my car.

my mom ran aground once in my car.. I was watching.. it was painful. The idiot who mounted my radar detector decided to mount it behind the lower lip- i need to move that before it gets eaten by my driveway's lip.. haha
