docsmile71 Posted March 6, 2005 Share Posted March 6, 2005 the PT cruiser turbo is running 220hp at the crank and it's rumored that they are severely underrated by Chrysler. True numbers are closer to 250hp. In the beginning, the OB may have the advantage with an awd launch but in the end, the superior power to weight ratio of the PT will take us. DrMerl Posted March 6, 2005 Share Posted March 6, 2005 The turbo PTC also has the same turbo as the Mitsubishi Evolution...the big 16G, although it's design has it molded into the exhaust manifold. They are underrated by the factory, it's HP ratings are very close to WHP. Upgrades are easy (Mopar has a nice list), better get a bigger turbo if he starts to upgrade...it's still a FWD neon chassis though.. =) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
