issai
I need to buy a helmet very soon for a track event end of this month. I want to get a right-sized helmet (and ideally at a good price). Any recommended stores in the greater LA or OC?

Piripi
Try Subesports in HB they have quite a few, I went to a place in Glendale or Burbank that has bell helmets, they had lots. Can't remember name of shop. or go to a motorcycle store since theres a few makers than make both motorcycle and SA05 and try a Bell helmet, HJC or Arai, and see what size helmet you use. danHA
Go to Extreme Supply in Signal Hill. Check out their website at http://www.extremesupply.com for the address. I went there a few weeks ago to try on helmets. I'll be going there tomorrow to exchange one that my friend purchased for me.
Drew888
What about open or closed face? Thinking about buying also... [URL="http://legacygt.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1586"VbGallery/URL]
Piripi
definetly closed if you plan on doing track days. if you are going to do autocross then open face. I like having all my teeth.
issai
Last time I had a chin-less HJC which was frowned upon... so definitely closed-face.
Drew888
Thx! Next one...all else being equal, what has the best ventilation and easiest to view out of (less visual intrusion)? Man that's hard to describe.... [URL="http://legacygt.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1586"VbGallery/URL]
Knight705
you mean one that gives you the best field of view?
TRS
Thx! Next one...all else being equal, what has the best ventilation and easiest to view out of (less visual intrusion)? Man that's hard to describe.... Try a hybrid helmet. They offer the unobstructed view and ventilation of an open-face with the protection of a full-face. http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/soloracerdotcom_2052_4908987 http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/soloracerdotcom_2052_4953309 http://www.raceindustry.com/ART/products/2366_Bell-S2R_small.jpg http://www.pdm-racing.com/safety/imag/bellsrproa.jpg
