Paul.Cooper
they will look more like WRC style. stock looking but wide. do you think it will work?
Leke
Wide is good, but not all angular and boxy if you know what I mean. I see a lot of these projects on NASIOC and most of the cars come out looking like space ships. Wide, yet subtle (with the lines and angles) would look best, but thats just my opinion. Do what looks good to you!

Gator GT
Spaceship 3: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/8233/p54.jpg I wanted to do the same hood treatment when I had my BD6 (except for the hood pins!). Man, the rear fender looks somewhat well done...but the front kills the package! They should have flared more of the upper fender than just at the "body line". Tasteful: http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/9836/p21v.jpg http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2489/p41c.jpg Very much agreed. N.sane
It looks identical to the 22B, or maybe just a repainted 22B? Either way, it's friggin hot.
NSFW
friggin hot. +1! It's a pity that style of fender flare went out of fashion. I'd run out and buy a 2010 LGT if Subaru gave it fenders like that. (well maybe not really, but you get the idea)

THIS is what I am looking to do with my car somewhere down the line. Nice clean lines. But I would most definitely purchase another set of fenders and quarter panels, just in case I wanted to go back to the original look if I decide to sell it. Was this custom made or was this a kit? Anyone know if this guy selling his car? I will drop the cash on this right now. I think I found my circuit car!! Gator GT
I'd put some proverbial money down that it is a repainted 22B. RHD, and looks pretty flawless. Kind of hard to tell what brakes are on it tho. NSFW...I don't think those fender flares have gone out of fashion...if you catch my drift. Good luck finding one, it's most likely an Impreza 22B, only 399 made for Japan and 25 made for the UK. In stock form it makes 345hp, weighs 2800lbs, and runs on 17x8.5 BBS wheels If I ever get a hold of one I'm leaving it stock, it's perfect to begin with. Was there a kit made in the past, for the 2.5 RS that made it to the US? I'd buy a 2.5 RS and then convert it to look like a Spec 22B.

subaruski
-Notice the difference in the side hood vents -The real 22b has a bolt above the fog cover -The center opening where it angles on the real 22b does not have a piece behind it -Notice the way the emblem is centered on the grill also. I have a ton of pics of the black Impreza because I have drooled over it for years http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b77/Subaruski/SICKESTGARAGEEVER8.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b77/Subaruski/wr25.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b77/Subaruski/DSC02645.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b77/Subaruski/wr25.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b77/Subaruski/DSC02641.jpg
Gator GT
oh man, when you put the real deal up next to the fakery...there is no comparison! Although, I do like the oil cooler on the black one tho......but lose the hood pins! Paul.Cooper
Leke, that 22b's style is exactly it. I'm going for that. That car's what's up! Can you imagine a Legacy looking that clean and still wide?? I...kinda like...that black legacy... Subaruski, If you haven't been here, you have to check it out: http://htautos.co.uk/ 22B pickup!? what??

Rock_2.5GT
dead thread revival: http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w167/kpluiten/SWIC%20Canyon%20Lake%20Meet%20November%208th%202008/DSC09058.jpg Has anyone ever thought of basically cutting up a wrecked WRX (looks like the blob-eye gen would be best) and trying to fit the flares off them to roughly the same location on a LGT? They look to be roughly the same size, and the chassis look to be pretty similar (i would imagine they would reuse stuff as much as possible between the cars). If they aren't the same size... it shouldn't be too hard to emulate the design on a LGT... I would LOVE just 1" more out from our fenders to be able to fit 18x9.5-10" wheels with a properly wide (245-255+) tire. Anyone else think this is a viable idea? ClimberDHexMods
I like where your head is at, but I think it would just be a lot easier to take the car to someone experienced in custom fabrication, and doing a custom job with what's there. You basically mount a wider fender shell, then fiberglass over it to blend it into the car shape. Sand, prime, paint. Paul.Cooper
sooo this is kinda where I ended up. It's only premiered and it's still being developed (meaning most everything is mocked up) and sanded but I think I'm heading the right direction. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/Christianbmxer/IMG_5295.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/Christianbmxer/IMG_5284.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/Christianbmxer/IMG_5320.jpg
