DoubleM
I have a 34k miles on my spec b. On big bumps, the struts squeak. I was just wondering how long these struts last, i didn't know if that was something that is kinda normal or not. I can't remember when it started. I just heard that the sti bilsteins can die by 40k miles, and if mine are almost dead i wanna take it in to try and get them replaced under warranty before the warranty is up. Thanks. Daedalus
Squeeking != dead. (it's probably just the top hats or a bushing somewhere) Dead/dying shock/strut == bouncy bouncy over bumps (takes longer for the struts to cancel out the springs oscillations) Do you have any suspension modifications? DoubleM
Its not bouncy at all. The only suspension mods I have are 22mm front and rear sway bars.

DoubleM
I think, can't remember. Its the Perrin kit, I can't remember if they came with bushings or if I used to stock ones. I am using the stock endlinks though.
DoubleM
I've seen spec b's on here with 60k miles, I just wanna see if they've replaced their struts yet or not.
edkwon
40k+ miles, no squeaking or nosie from my struts.
Daedalus
With urethane bushings? -- Steve I think Steve is on to something. Try re-greasing your sway bushings. Your struts should be 100% fine.
Fernely
40k+ miles, no squeaking or nosie from my struts. 46K on mine with no issues, stock with a whiteline front sway bar.

DoubleM
Ok cool thanks guys, I'll try re-greasing them. Its not a big deal, only happens over potholes and bumps when I'm driving slow and its colder out... Just wanted to make sure my struts were ok before the warranty expired.
